This is my first go at posting so apologies if I get etiquette wrong. I'm in desperate need of a new mobile phone as my beloved Nokia 3310 (yes really!) is on it's last legs. I have trouble with touch screen phones and my crazy fingers prefer to know when they have pressed a button. Can anyone recommend a good, easy-grip phone? Are touch screens easier than buttons if you get used to them? I only want it to do calls and texts but it would be nice to have one with a camera. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Jennifer.

I had blackberry phones for the past few years - buttons!! But the phone kept draining, sent away in summer, fixed and bought new battery but it started up again to drain very quickly.

So last month I bought out of my contract early (keep my sanity)!! No point paying lots for a useless phone hey!LOL RollEyes LOL

I've got an iPhone 4S because I didn't have to pay any money up front after paying £124 to end contract.

My fingers are not Good but practice makes perfect as they say!LOL LOL LOL LOL Razz it has Siri which means you talk into it and it does the typing!
Camera us fab, syncs in with ipad mini.

But this is just my personal experience.

I've wonky fingers, not good finger movement but hey ho I love technology!x

Hi Jennifer

I can't cope with touch screen phones or ones with small buttons.There is a phone called 'Doro' which has larger buttons and easier to manage, if you want a basic phone for calls and messages. Admittedly it's a bit 'uncool' looking but useful. I bought one for my elderly mum and she coped well with it. I know it's available on pay as you go- not sure about contracts. I've still got my trusty old Nokia which, at the moment is ok but probably won't last much longer. I was looking in one of the phone shops and some of the more 'basic' phones are still available- not all by Nokia.

I got a Nokia Lumia 520 - just getting to grips with it though but think it will be easier to manage than my last one which was a Blackberry.

The problem with touch phones is that unless the screen size is whopping, it's not always easy to get the accuracy of typing, esp without the feedback of a physical button. You can get capacitative styluses that can make it easier, or use voice recognition as others have said, I have a Galaxy Note that has a fine stylus but the price is eye watering.
